Twenty-seven years of fittings means twenty-seven years of the same dozen questions. Here are the answers we give clients on the cutting-room floor.

What makes Peter Parvez different from other tailors in Toronto? +
Peter Parvez is known for delivering best-fit tailoring in Toronto, ON. Decades of craftsmanship, premium European fabrics, and one master tailor on every shop floor, trained personally by Peter, set the standard. We balance quality, style, and affordability whether you need a business suit, wedding tuxedo, or formal dress shirt.
Do you tailor women's clothing or wedding dresses? +
While our primary focus is men's fashion, we offer alterations and custom work for women's clothing. Brides searching for a custom or affordable wedding dress in Toronto can book a private bridal consultation, bodice work, lining, hem and bustle adjustments are handled at the Toronto atelier.
What is bespoke tailoring vs. made-to-measure? +
Bespoke tailoring means a garment created from scratch with a paper patron designed specifically for your body. Made-to-measure adapts a base patron. At Peter Parvez our standard is bespoke, twenty-two measurements, hand-cut paper patron, three to four fittings, and the patron is kept on file for life.
How long does a custom suit take? +
Four to six weeks from first measurement to final delivery, depending on the cloth and your fitting schedule. Rush service is available for weddings and last-minute formal events, three weeks with a 25% rush fee, subject to atelier capacity.
Can I order a custom dress shirt online without coming in? +
For your first shirt, yes, we recommend an in-person fitting so we can take a full set of measurements and discuss collar and cuff preference. Once your patron is on file, every following order can be placed by phone or email and shipped to any Canadian address.
What fabrics do you stock? +
More than four thousand swatches across the seven ateliers, Loro Piana and Vitale Barberis Canonico from Italy, English worsteds, year-round wool-and-cashmere blends, 100% Egyptian cotton in French Twill and French Oxford weaves for shirts, plus seasonal linens, flannels, and tuxedo cloth.
Do you offer cashmere wool suits? +
Yes. A cashmere-and-wool blend suit is one of our most-ordered cloths, luxurious hand, year-round wear, and a soft drape that photographs beautifully. We also stock pure cashmere from Loro Piana for overcoats and special-occasion suits.
Can you alter clothing I bought elsewhere? +
Yes. Expert clothing alterations are available for suits, tuxedos, shirts, and dresses, regardless of the original maker. From minor adjustments to a full re-fit, we hand-finish every alteration to the same standard as our bespoke work.
How do I book a fitting? +
Use the booking system above, pick a city, choose a time slot, and Peter will confirm by phone within two business hours. You can also call (647) 936-9772 directly or write to [email protected].
